AXE scientists: taking the sweat out of sweat
Axe recognized this need and set about creating an antiperspirant that would last all day – and all night. Its 24/7 range has done just that and gives young men all over the world the edge in the dating game.
Sweating is a part of life. At Unilever, we understand how skin micro flora converts sweat into odors and we have found ways to suppress the unpleasant scents. Our scientists have developed molecules that trap iron salts from human sweat. Iron is essential for bacteria, which causes unpleasant body odors to grow on a person's skin. Following this research, tests on Axe showed that it extended the deodorant benefit from 5 to 24 hours.
Dove scientists: putting life back into lifeless hair
We have all awakened in the morning, looked in the mirror and despaired because our hair looked unkempt and lifeless. Dove attacked this age-old problem with the latest science and technology.
Unilever scientists are pioneers in the knowledge of hair structure. We know what differences in hair types mean in terms of conditioning needs, so we modulate the level of conditioning to suit different consumers. We're aware that one formula doesn't necessarily fit all types because our technology is based on reaching out to real consumers and listening to their needs and wants. As a result, the Dove shampoo and conditioner range has lifted the locks and the spirits of people everywhere.
