Unilever awarded American Heart Association Fit-friendly Award
Unilever awarded gold level, Fit-friendly Award by American Heart Association
This February, during Heart Health Month, the American Heart Association awarded Unilever with the Gold Level, Fit-Friendly award for the second consecutive year. The Fit-Friendly program recognizes employers who champion the health of their employees and work to create a culture of physical activity and health in the workplace.
To receive the title of “Fit-Friendly” company, certain criteria must be met. A company must offer employees physical activity support like our onsite fitness center, Global Corporate Challenge program, walking trail, and increasing healthy eating options at work to promote a wellness culture. Requirements for the Gold level achievement are: implementing at least six physical activity programs, two nutrition activities and one cultural item.
Sandy Zomek, Unilever, Director Benefits, NA accepted this award on behalf of the organization.
