Supplier Diversity at Unilever North America

At Unilever, our purpose is to make sustainable living commonplace by becoming the global leader in sustainable business. Through our North American Supplier Diversity Program we strive to create a supply chain where diversity thrives.

What is Supplier Diversity?

Advancing Supplier Diversity means creating a supplier base that reflects the diversity of our consumers. Our Supplier Diversity program is a proactive initiative that identifies opportunities for Unilever to partner with underrepresented groups in businesses.

We are committed to creating a supply base centered around purpose and aligned with our mission of conducting business with integrity and openness.

How do we define a diverse supplier?

A business qualifies as a diverse supplier under our North American Supplier Diversity Program if it is based in the United States or Canada and is at least 51% owned, managed, and controlled by a ‘diverse’ person/team. Diverse suppliers can receive certification by independent accreditation body in the United States or Canada.

Under our program a ‘diverse’ supplier falls within one of the following Diverse Business Enterprise Categories. Suppliers can receive accreditation for qualification in one or more of these categories from any of the following organizations linked within the corresponding categories:
