Kids experience "living classrooms"
Unilever grant sends Boys & Girls Club of Paterson/Passaic on ultimate field trip to National Parks
Englewood Cliffs, NJ - Unilever will award a $7,500 grant to the Boys & Girls Club of Paterson/Passaic as part of its national America’s Best Classroom program. As part of the America’s Best Classroom program, more than 2,000 Boys & Girls Club kids will visit National Parks this summer.
“Unilever is proud to support an organization such as the Boys & Girls Club of Paterson/Passaic, which plays such a vital role in fostering community participation and youth education,” said Mike Bauer, Vice President and General Manager, Spreads, Dressings and Beverages, who will be making the check presentation to the Club.
The Boys & Girls Club of Paterson/Passaic will travel to the Gateway National Recreation Area, Ft. Wadsworth Unit to participate in interpretive programs about the park’s history and environment. Through the America’s Best Classroom program nearly 25,000 kids have participated in interpretive and service-to-the-land activities in National Parks.
