History
Created in 1923 by Leo Gerstenzang, Q-tips® cotton swabs started as a product to help families care for babies. After watching his wife apply a wad of cotton to a toothpick for use in their daughter’s daily bath regimen, a “light bulb” went off and Gertstenzang conceived the idea of manufacturing a ready-to-use cotton swab. The product was originally called Baby Gays, but has since changed to Q-tips, where the “Q” stands for quality.
From the original cotton swab to the newest addition, Q-tips® Beauty Rounds, the Q-tips® brand offers the perfect tool for all of your needs.
- Q-tips® cotton swabs: With the most soft cotton at the tip*, Q-tips® cotton swabs are perfect for arts & crafts, manicures, makeup application, cleaning and more!
- Q-tips® Precision Tips™: These cotton swabs feature pointed tips specially designed for makeup touch-ups and cleaning tight spaces.
- Q-tips® Beauty Rounds: Made of 100% pure cotton with an added layer of spunlace for fortitude, they are hypoallergenic and soft enough to use on delicate areas of the face, including around the eyes. Q-tips® Beauty Rounds have more soft cotton than the leading cotton pad, are quilted to resist shredding and are ultra-absorbent.
