The Popsicle® Brand partners with Voice of Nickelodeon’s Spongebob SquarePants

Tom Kenny and Popsicle® Ask Families to Showcase Their Creativity in an Animated Online Script Contest

Englewood Cliffs, NJ (May 22, 2012) – Yosicle™ pops, the first-ever Popsicle® pops with yogurt, have partnered with Tom Kenny, the voice of Nickelodeon’s SpongeBob SquarePants, to launch the “Your Yosicle™ Adventure” Contest. The online competition invites fans to create their own ending to an animated Popsicle® Pete adventure – one where he collides with yogurt to create a Yosicle™ pop. One winner* will receive a trip to Los Angeles to see Kenny bring their winning submission to life in a Hollywood recording studio.

Starting today, families can demonstrate their creativity through an interactive online experience on With the help of Kenny, the Popsicle® brand has created an animated adventure, starring Popsicle® Pete, set in the streets of Spain during the Running of the Bulls. Using Popsicle® Pete as the story’s hero, consumers have the ability to write their own endings – with Popsicle® Pete eventually landing in or colliding with yogurt.

It’s proof that great creations can come from thinking outside the box! To enter, consumers should visit the Popsicle® Facebook page, watch the “Bulls on Tirade” animated video and submit an alternate ending for a chance to win a trip to Los Angeles to see Kenny bring their story to life in a recording studio. The contest runs for three weeks (May 18 to June 12).

Consumers should submit their scripts via the Popsicle® Facebook page. All eligible entries will be reviewed and scored by a panel of judges, including Kenny, and will be judged on humor, creativity, how well the entry completed the original story, and alignment with the Popsicle® brand.

The “Your Yosicle™ Adventure” Contest is designed to celebrate several new varieties from the Popsicle® brand’s new Yosicle™ line. Available in four fun varieties, featuring three unique shapes, Yosicle™ pops contain 10% nonfat yogurt and are an excellent source of calcium per two-pop serving.
  • Yosicle™ Torpedo!™ pops feature three flavors in one low-fat, creamy pop: Purple Berry, Watermelon and Vanilla.
  • Yosicle™ Duos!™ pops feature creamy deliciousness on the inside with flavored ice on the outside. These low-fat pops have two flavors on each stick and are available in two variety boxes: Watermelon-Vanilla and Cotton Candy-Vanilla or Purple Berry-Vanilla and Cherry-Vanilla.
  • Yosicle™ Layerz!™ pops feature two flavors per low-fat pop and are made with flavored ice on the top and creamy deliciousness on the bottom. They are available in two flavors: Cotton Candy & Vanilla and Orange & Vanilla.
